GC jointly invested with ALPLA to establish Envicco Company Limited, the largest integrated plastic recycling manufacturer in Southeast Asia, with a production capacity of 45,000 tons/year. ENVICCO will restore value to used plastic by using 100% post-consumer plastic waste from households in the country. Processed through advanced technology from Europe, the resulting high-quality plastic resins are transformed into new products with properties that are comparable to those made from virgin plastic.
This plant is part of the company’s long-term strategic plan in line with the circular economy, aiming to complete the value chain and create job opportunities in the community while also aligning with the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) Model of Thailand.

Environmental Value
- Enhancing the circular economy and reducing mismanagement of used plastics by adding value to used bottles in Thailand, equaling 60,000 tons/year, instead of them ending up in the ocean or landfills.
- Reducing our product’s carbon footprint by reducing greenhouse gas emissions equaling approximately 141,000 tons of CO₂/year

Life Cycle of PCR Resin
PET & PE plastic products can be recycled repeatedly because there is technology available that can remove extraneous materials. This improves the properties of PCR resins to return them to having properties equivalent to new plastic resins, which can be recycled repeatedly. However, the color of the recycled plastic products will be darker. Recycled plastic resins are darker in color and different from new plastic resins because of the cleaning process and high-heat production techniques used, which ensure cleanliness and safety. Therefore, the darker color of recycled plastic resins is a result of environmental protection and safety considerations.

InnoEco PCR PET Resin by ENVICCO is a 100% high-quality PCR PET resin, food safety certified by the following global standards: US FDA, Thai FDA (the first and only one in Thailand), and EFSA. This allows them to be formed into recycled plastic packaging, such as drinking water bottles and carbonated soft drink bottles.
