7 Inspiring Upcycled Designs

Recently, Upcycling wastes or resources, which are widely discarded, to make it become a cool item is a popular trend overseas. The competition among many designers on bringing out ideas and creating things through the upcycling is conducted nowsaday to show people frequently. However, among those particular creativities, still, there are some ideas which is received a lot of admiration from people. Next, we will take you to see what are those cool uncycling items.

1) Softie Wanted Seats by Victoria Ledig and Mandy Roos

This is an unusual seat made from 2 things upcycling; foam and rope by two Dutch artists "Victoria Ledig" and "Mandy Roos". Both of them created up the value of useless item and rubbish in others' sight by making the simple furniture. The design is also hidden under those simplicity but useful instead of being left to cause an environmental problem.

2) Recycled Cardboard Furniture by Corvasce

The unused cardboard was brought back to life and transformed into elegant and practical using furniture and accessories. The works were designed by the Italian design firm "Corvasce" and the prominence of their creations became a huge hit at Milan Design Week last year.

3) Wire Hanger Chandelier by Lascia La Scia

Looking closely at the photos, we can see that this mesmerizing chandelier is made from metal wire hangers. The work was presented by Italian design firm “Lascia La Scia” which made its debut at Milan Design Week in past 2019.

4) Apple Keyboard Table by Vicolopagliacorta

Even the keyboard keys from your computer or laptop can be upcycled into a variety of good-looking design and useful appliances only if you know how to use your creative design wisely. A desk decorated by the keyboard keys of Apple's MacBook is proved by your own eyes obviously. It was designed by a Bologna design firm called “Vicolopagliacorta”, The keys were cleaned and decorated before being fitted into the superficial worktop and being looked like a mosaic decorated from pieces of glass or stone.

5) Bori Throne by Gunjan Gupta

Bori Throne is a beautiful shaped throne made by Indian designer “Gunjan Gupta”. She was inspired by bicycles used in her home country by wrapping its old parts in chrome and textiles plus adding the design to remake it to become a magnificent throne which has got a lot of attention in Milan Design Week 2019

6) From Pipe to Knife by Amos Fraiberg

Even a small object as smoking pipe made from copper, Israeli designer “Amos Fraiberg” can also turn it into a knife by using a simple method. Well, just compress, polish and weld slightly, then you will have a stylish and classy tableware device uniquely. 

7) The Wake Stool by Ori Ben Zvi

Wood and wood scraps remained after the use are brought back to life as stylish furniture under the name “The Wake Stool” by the hands of Israeli designer “Ori Ben Zvi”. This furniture was inspired by the reincarnation of things which he believes originally that recycling is one of the ways to create items that have been disposed.
