On May 26, 2025, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) organized an online seminar titled “Unlock the Future: Trends and Technologies in Cap & Closure.”

The seminar aimed to educate and strengthen understanding among customers, partners, and plastic resin manufacturers regarding the overall trends in soft drink packaging, innovations, and technologies from Cap & Closure manufacturers, as well as GC’s product offerings that meet consumer needs. The seminar featured expert insights from Richard Novemeskey and Jean Janella Ang of Coca-Cola, who spoke about sustainability, describing it as a core part of the company’s DNA. Their focus areas included:

He emphasized the trend in water closures that has led to a 70% reduction in weight. The best-selling closure currently weighs only 1.8 grams and achieves a cycle time of 2 seconds. Sacmi continues to innovate by developing lighter closures while improving production cycle efficiency.
